- Pivorock30. april 2026The first Ip Man movie is an exceptional historical drama. While I do not know how much of the story these movies portray is factual, it remains a story about hardship and working through it. This movie is the Chinese Rocky 4, practically beat for beat, but with China and America rather than America and Russia. The fights are still entertaining, but the story is not quite as engaging as the first.
- Eric Bakke19. februar 2025While Ip Man 2 delivers exciting fight scenes, it lacks the character depth of its predecessor. The plot feels reminiscent of Rocky 4, offering plenty of fun but little substance. The British actors' performances are unintentionally laughable, but the martial arts are still a highlight.
- mattfu3829. november 2025Donnie Yen is back as the ever humble Ip Man and gracing the screen this time around is the legendary Sammo Hung. While this movie may lack in overall character development, the choreographed fights will keep you thoroughly entertained.
