The Bad While the story is functional, it’s also highly predictable, following a classic underdog sports movie formula that offers few surprises. Some of the humor relies on slapstick gags and physical comedy that can feel a bit dated and repetitive. The villains are one-dimensional, and the emotional core of the film can feel a bit simplistic and rushed. Additionally, some of the CGI effects, particularly for Herbie's "expressions," show their age. Herbie: Fully Loaded is a delightful and wholesome family film that succeeds thanks to its nostalgic charm and positive message, even if it doesn’t break any new ground.
