- Paul Schwartz22. mars 2026Good story and interesting take on the original
- Seabee4uu21. mars 2026Really decent. Now as with "Shin", don't watch the dubbed version, it sucks. Try the original japanese with subs. Loved it.
- WiseGuySaidSo17. mars 2026Second only to Shin Godzilla overall, this is best film from a story perspective and grounded in the human experience. Godzilla stays firmly in his roots here causing choas and destruction proving once again that the best Godzilla films aren't made in Hollywood, they are produced by Toho.
- alexmpowers22. februar 2026Incredibly heart felt and easy to see why it is a standout in the franchise.
- CatcherNTheRyan26. januar 2026The best human story of the series. The second straight great TOHO Godzilla movie.
- kgcarini13. januar 2026Such a wonderful heart felt story. I did not expect to be in tears from a Godzilla movie. It is so good.

- Robert Potter28. desember 2025Killer visuals that'll make you cry.
- jackmeat19. oktober 2024My quick rating - 8.0/10. I’ve been eagerly awaiting my chance to see Godzilla Minus One, especially since it clinched the Oscar for Visual Effects, and it did not disappoint. This latest installment in the Godzilla saga takes us back to postwar Japan, where the iconic monster wreaks havoc on a nation already devastated by war. The story is grounded in the human experience, centering on survivors who, with no military or government support, must band together to confront this unstoppable force of nature. The visual effects are breathtaking, and it’s easy to see why the film won its Oscar. From the meticulously recreated 1940s cityscapes to the terrifyingly lifelike Godzilla, the effects team managed to bring the monster to life in a way that’s both modern and nostalgic. There’s a particularly striking scene where Godzilla marches upright through a downtown area, toppling buildings in a clear homage to the original films. It’s a powerful blend of old and new, honoring the franchise’s roots while pushing the boundaries of what modern technology can achieve. But this movie isn’t just about the spectacle. The human characters are given depth and significance, with the story focusing on their struggle for survival and their determination to fight back. The little girl’s role is especially poignant, adding an emotional layer that’s often missing in monster movies. The war cry speech, delivered to rally the citizens, is well-written and genuinely stirring, encapsulating the film’s theme of resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. The period recreation is also spot-on. Everything from the buildings and military equipment to the everyday costumes feels authentic, transporting the audience back to the 1940s. The decision to portray Godzilla as the villain again, a force that humanity must figure out how to stop, brings the franchise full circle, echoing the tone of the original 1954 film. The movie wraps up with a feel-good ending that’s both satisfying and true to the spirit of the Godzilla legacy. While I’ve enjoyed the Godzilla vs. Kong films from Hollywood, Godzilla Minus One stands out as the best overall Godzilla movie I’ve seen. It’s a visually stunning, emotionally engaging, and thematically rich addition to the franchise.
- Rick12. februar 2025I went in expecting a good movie based on word of mouth, I wasn't expecting one of the best movies I've ever seen. The perspective of a post war Japan from the Japanese side, the emotional gut punches, and the city smashing were all top notch.
- darsan11. november 2025i absolutely CAN'T WAITT FOR godzilla minus zero this was the best godzilla film i've ever seen, the story, the emotions, the visuals and the score were bonkers and im glad that i finally locked in to watch this masterpiece.
- mickerdoo10. desember 2025Solid action, CGI and battle sequences. Didn't live up to the hype for me, though. Some predictability, blocking and monster mauling issues.
- AtlasOnEuropa2. september 2025Is your war... finally over?
- Mr-EBE23. oktober 2025Bad CGI as usual since 2010 Unwatchable in French version - go subtitle But a naive ##### (spoile free) that pleased me
- Richard12. oktober 2025This one’s not just a monster movie, it’s a reckoning. Godzilla Minus One takes us to postwar Japan, a nation already shattered and then drops the King of the Monsters into the rubble. But this isn’t about spectacle, it’s about survival, guilt and the fragile hope that rises when everything else has burned. Visually, it’s stunning. The destruction feels earned, not gratuitous. Godzilla is terrifying again, less superhero, more force of nature. And the period detail? Impeccable. From the ash covered streets to the salvaged mines, it feels like history reimagined through myth. I saw this in the cinema and that’s the way it should be seen. The roar, the silence, the war cry, it all lands harder on the big screen. And if I revisit it later on disc or streaming, it will still hold up. It’s not just one of the best Godzilla films in the last couple of years, it’s one of the most emotionally resonant Japanese films in years. It’s a great movie. Full stop.
- Karen Nakamura18. september 2025Was not what I expected! This movie had me through all the emotions: sadness, happiness, nostalgia, excitement, scared, curious, and so on. Easily best of all the Godzillas. So refreshing to see what can be done on a reasonable budget if you have a good story and good actors.
- Robert Green19. juli 2025One of best sci-fi movies in forever. It's the feeling of old school Godzilla movies with the best visual effects of today.
- MechaJayZilla5. juli 2025A masterpiece of a Godzilla movie, and a great film overall.
