- abovetheclouds633. august 2026This is the kind of movie you'd watch purely for entertainment purposes. There's nothing of depth here, and it stands in stark contrast to the previous two Millennium-era movies, which had stories with human heart at their core. That said, this kind of experience isn't out of line for Godzilla movies of any era. Each era starts off trying to say something about the human condition and its relationship to nature and itself, but usually devolves into monster-vs-Godzilla slop. This is the culmination of 50 years of that same pattern. Forget your brain, have some popcorn, and just enjoy the ride.
