Regissert av Paul MartinClaudia is a poor seamstress in a French port town. The romantic German naval officer Willi sweeps her off her feet, but soon his ship has to put to sea. He promises to return soon and marry her, but as time goes by, she despairs of his return. She goes to Hamburg to find him at the address he gave her, but it is only a cheap hotel. She persuades a co-operative naval officer to help her find her love without success.
