Manolo is the captain of the fishing boat "Gaviota" that fishes in the waters of Estepona, and whose owner has just died. The deceased's will grants ownership of the fishing boat to his niece Andrea, a graduate in economics and resident in Madrid. The girl's lack of knowledge of sea matters makes her delegate the matter to her uncle Felipe, a man with few scruples who intends to sell the boat with the help of Zacarías, the ship's administrator. Manolo and the rest of the crew, worried about their future employment, will devise a plan to prevent the sale and, in the process, Manolo will fall in love with the owner
