Maya, a child prodigy with a magical voice, becomes a star of the country's main opera house at the age of 11. Two envious prima ballerinas, from whom Maya has taken all the main parts, decide to get rid of the miracle of nature. Right on stage, the girl drinks a magic elixir and turns into a ghost. Later in the theater, Maya meets another stuck person - Iosef, an old conductor from the 19th century, who helps the girl and teaches her to live in new circumstances.
