- flavo4322. november 2025Watching Cloak & Dagger as a kid in the ’80s felt like someone had reached into my brain, grabbed my favourite daydreams, and put them on screen. It wasn’t just another adventure movie; it was my fantasy—spies, secret missions, and a video game that actually mattered. I loved my Atari, so the idea that a simple cartridge could hide real espionage secrets seemed absolutely awesome at the time, not ridiculous. The mix of suspense, chases, and a kid who actually knows more than the adults pulled me right in. Henry Thomas made it easy to imagine I could stumble into something huge just by playing games and paying attention. Looking back, some parts are definitely over the top, but as a childhood experience, Cloak & Dagger was pure wish fulfillment: dangerous, exciting, and just believable enough to make me glance at my own game cartridges and wonder, “What if…?”

11-year-old Davey, whose mother is dead and whose father doesn't spend nearly enough time with him. So the boy loses himself in video games--and even has an imaginary friend, a super-resourceful secret agent. When he accidentally comes into possession of a spy group's secret plans, and winds up on the run from them, he must learn to rely on himself and his imaginary pal to save his skin. But, in the end, Dad proves to be his real hero.
