What really fascinates me about this movie is that, while it is centered around a couple and it involves time travel, it is neither a romantic comedy or a sci-fi flick. It actually is a film about human relations and life, and if that's what happens to use time travel as a to show us that. The ability to revisit the past may sound like a blessing, but Curtis uses it to show that life's beauty lies in its imperfections, in the moments we can't edit or undo. It’s not all roses and fairytale logic; the story slowly reveals a knot of responsibility and regret that sits beneath the sweetness, giving the entire film a resonance that lasts far beyond the credits.
