After she moves in with college-student Carlo she attempts to provide for them both, but she can't find another job and sinks into the sleazy world of drugs and prostitution. Carlo's right-wing brother demands that Carlo return to the powerful businessman's daughter so he will have financial freedom for the rest of his life.
