I liked "A Prophet" much more than The Godfather, which it pays homage to late in the film. The action sequences are stronger, the script is excellent, and the back-and-forth between the two main characters is what drives the film. The movie also highlights the struggles faced by immigrants and minority groups in France, portraying a society that leaves little room for outsiders unless they fully adopt the French language, nationality, and abandon their previous cultural identity. Themes brought up in the movie include: the ethics of ambiguity. moral transformation
