Jäger quickly realizes something is amiss and, together with his colleagues Arda Turan and Frank van Dijk, sets out to find the owner. However, Duisburg businessman Niklas Brandt, who owns the boat, has disappeared, and his wife's behavior is rather strange. The "WaPo" colleagues want to take a closer look. An observation confirms their suspicions: The man has been kidnapped. But who is behind it? The "WaPo" discovers that Niklas Brandt has made a powerful enemy. However, there are even more people in his circle who are playing a dirty game. The situation is serious, and a race against time begins for Jäger and Arda. Will they manage to free Brandt from his kidnappers in time? And at home, Jäger has another problem to deal with: his daughter Nadine has separated from her boyfriend and is moving in with him along with her granddaughter Mira.
