They don't make "high fantasy" style anime like this any more, which is a bit of a shame, but if you're a fan of the high fantasy genre, such as Record of Lodoss War or Escaflowne, chances are, you've seen this, but if not, you should. Solid hook, solid story, solid OST, but no solid snake... he's in another anime called Fushigi Yugi, which I recommend staying far away from.
