Where to Watch The Acolyte
The Acolyte Ratings & Reviews
- Danny Potter-Jones11 februari 2026Absolutely shit 😂
- zalic6 februari 2025Absolute garbage.
- Hipster ZOMBIE24 februari 2025The Acolyte is to the Star Wars franchise what Superman 3 was to the Christopher Reeves led Superman films. DEATH. The only Star Wars show to have a horrible hip hop song attached. The only Star Wars show to have its main star write a diss track to the fans because no one watched her show. Not only did this show ruin the career of its showrunner, it also was another nail in the coffin for the Star Wars franchise.
- Ronald24 januari 2025Underrated
- Hakihiko24 januari 2026Strong Visuals, Weak Foundations "The Acolyte" is a series with clear ambition and impressive production value, but one that ultimately struggles to deliver a satisfying overall experience. While it looks great and offers some solid action, the writing and performances often undermine its potential. Visually, the show is undoubtedly strong. The cinematography, set design, and overall aesthetic feel polished and cinematic, and the action scenes are well choreographed and engaging. When the series leans into spectacle and movement, it genuinely works and feels aligned with what you'd expect from a big Star Wars production. Unfortunately, the script is the weakest element. The dialogue is often bloated and unnatural, dragging scenes far longer than necessary and draining momentum. Some performances feel stiff or unconvincing, and a few characters come across as miscast, making it harder to stay emotionally invested in the story. The pacing suffers as a result, with too much time spent on underdeveloped or poorly written interactions instead of meaningful character growth or narrative progression. There are interesting ideas beneath the surface, but they're rarely explored with the depth or clarity they deserve. In the end, "The Acolyte" is not a disaster, but it's a disappointment. Strong visuals and action sequences can't fully compensate for weak writing and uneven performances. It's a series with flashes of promise, but one that never truly finds its footing.
- Jagger Johnson4 juli 2025Preferred the Holiday Special.
- Andy Buckley13 april 2025I love the time period of the High Republic and getting to see the Jedi in their prime. Amazing fights, delving deeper into Force-lore, both light and dark. Overall, I think it might have worked better with a tighter plot or longer, but fewer, episodes. It’s still a great show and I hope they explore it further.
- Ian Gellings4 juni 2025Another show that had so much potential, and they squander it so bad with the acting. The writing, the only good thing in this show is the action sequences other than that. This show is straight up trash. My ring for the show would be a three point six out of ten had potential, but they ruined it.
- Stefan18 mei 2025Neat concepts, poor execution.
- justinhol628 oktober 2024Complete and utter garbage.
- PlexserverMakani8 mei 2025what a shitshow
- jwalkin24 februari 2025Not as bad as I expected, but Lee Jung-jae deserved better.
- Tyler Chernosky (chernosquare)15 januari 2025Just okay
- EnochLight14 december 2024This was single-handedly one of the worst Star Wars series in history, making the 1978 "Star Wars Holiday Special" an Oscar-winning magnus opus by comparison. Strangely, it started off strong - the first episode had some very interesting ideas. But by the end of episode 2 and throughout the rest of the season, its execution, acting, character journeys (and behavior), and plot points were all an absolute train wreck. The best part about this was the part where Disney cancelled the series after this one horrible season. Unless you're a die-hard Star Wars fan that will watch anything that is shoveled in front of you from the bowels of unimaginative and creatively bankrupt show runners, then avoid. It's bad.
