- Lord Juggins18 augustus 2026This season ranks the best so far out of all seasons. Straight into the disturbing scenes and hasn’t stopped for the first 3 episodes. Excellent so far, I hope the remaining episodes provide the same experience the first 3 have of Season 4. Excellent production and acting, he’s really get this grip of the character now.
- TheMovieWall17 augustus 2026Misses the mark. Coming from someone who hasn't read the books. Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher looks good on paper. He has the looks and is very beastly. Where he lacks is presence. His whole personality comes off forced most of the time. I think Jack Reacher is a really hard character to play though so I give Alan a lot of props and am glad the show has been well received. I think Alan is early in his career and hopefully will continue to improve as an actor. I wouldn't want him to get stuck in the genre of big bulky muscle guy though. The show itself doesn't really grab me. I watched the first seasons because I had nothing else to watch. If you asked me what those seasons were about I really couldn't tell you. Not very memorable. Now if you asked me about the Tom Cruise version of Jack Reacher I could tell you in detail the plot of that movie. Cruise is a seasoned actor though and its not quite fair to compare. I tried watching the current season which would be season 4 and I don't think I am going to continue it. I was hoping this new season would be better but it's not. Reacher has the same very dry almost condescending tone. Non emotional. Almost sociopathic way of communicating with people. It doesn't work for me. The fight scenes are not great either. The pulling of punches is so obvious. Villains stalling and just waiting to be hit because big bulky Jack can't get up of the ground in less than 5 seconds. At least it's on Prime. Rewatchability is zero for this show.

Fast forward to the Amazon series and statuesque actor Alan Ritchson perfectly embodies the role. Reacher’s imposing physicality, intelligence, and no-nonsense attitude is on full display here. The show features well-choreographed fight scenes, emphasizing Reacher’s brute strength and peak military training.If you enjoy crime thrillers, procedural investigations, and high-impact action, it’s definitely worth streaming.

Generic cop actors, main character appears too intelligent and he can decipher the direction of the moon and whether there was shadow in a certain direction like cmon dude. The mc is too perfect, you can't relate to him, all you can do is awe at him as a guy and love to have someone like him as a girl. And thats all there is to this show.

Now, some important points, if you aren’t familiar with Reacher and/or are interested in my entry point into the series and why I’m so delighted it’s back. 1. Reacher is based on a series of novels about Jack Reacher, a former major with the Army police. There have been two movies as well, where Tom Cruise plays Reacher. I’ve never read the books, and I didn’t see the movies. P.S. TRULY can’t imagine believing Cruise as Reacher after having watched the series. 2. In the Prime Video series, Alan Ritchson stars as Reacher. Alan. Ritchson. Is. Everything. I love him. He’s hilarious, and his Instagram is top notch. He’s a GIANT man, and his neck is huge. In Reacher, when he’s on screen, he takes up the whole frame – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. 3. I’ve watched all three previous seasons, absolutely enjoyed each one, and have only the vaguest memory of what the plots were. I’m not entirely sure about where we left off at the end of Season 3 / how Season 4 will kick off. I will not be trying to refresh my memory before watching Season 4. Doesn’t matter. Not the point. The plot of Reacher is that there is someone(s) very evil and Reacher (and maybe some friends) will be seeking revenge, perhaps on his own behalf, but maybe also on behalf of someone else. Who knows. But he will be taking down the Very Evil Person, and all the people that work with that Very Evil Person, and it will all be very violent and enjoyable to watch. 3a. Slight tangent, one of Reacher’s revenge friends, Neagley, is getting a spin-off. She’s delightful and just as violent as Reacher, and apparently the plot will center around a CULT (my FAV plot!) and the cast includes Greyston Holt, everyone’s favorite werewolf from the very silly, yet perfect, Canadian series Bitten, as a detective. Say less. 4. General vibes – yes Reacher is super violent (if you don’t enjoy watching expertly choreographed fight scenes, this series might not be for you), but it’s also pretty amusing. There are some really excellent lines, and line readings, that just truly put the exclamation mark on a scene. So what do you think? Will you be tuning in to see what new and creative ways Reacher will use to kill the Very Evil Person(s)? Do you think you need to know all the previous seasons’ plots to hop into Season 4?
