Voor haar gezin zorgen staat onderaan haar prioriteitenlijst. Kelly is de oudste telg van de familie Bundy. Ze is het stereotype dom blondje en date de ene loser na de andere. Hier doet ze haar vader geen plezier mee. Net als Peggy grijpt ze iedere kans aan om met Al's geld te gaan shoppen. Ze pest haar broertje graag, voornamelijk met het feit dat hij geen meisjes kan krijgen. Bud is het jongste kind van Al en Peggy en veruit het intelligentste lid van het gezin. Hij is dan ook de enige Bundy die het ooit tot de universiteit heeft geschopt. Hij is geobsedeerd door seks, maar mede daardoor het lukt hem nooit om een meisje te versieren. Al Bundy, the shoe salesman with a dead-end job and a family that treats him like furniture. Peggy’s laziness, Kelly’s airheadedness, Bud’s desperation, it was all exaggerated and that was the point. The jokes were raunchy, the insults relentless and the laugh track never took a break. It mocked everything: marriage, work, gender roles, even the audience. Could this be made today? Not like this. The show thrived on politically incorrect humor that would trigger a thousand think pieces now. But back then, it was cathartic chaos.
