Pretty good overall, it is very 'women over men' or something along the lines of that, but its still fun, it doesn't do it way too much over the top. The fact that Harley Quinn's past as a psychiatrist comes forward here 'n there is also a very nice addon to the show.

I actually had to rewrite my original review because too many people were more interested in trying to prove they were comic experts than actually discussing the show. I have read countless Batman comics, watched almost every Batman movie and animated series, and played just about every Batman game, including the Arkham series. Because of that, I can honestly say this show was fantastic from Season 1 through most of Season 3. The humor was great, the references to classic and modern Batman lore were clever, and Harley's evolution into more of an antihero was a fun direction that has existed in the comics for quite some time. I also had no issue with Harley and Poison Ivy becoming a couple. My problem was never the relationship itself. My problem was how it was written. Kite Man was done incredibly dirty, and honestly, his own series ended up being more enjoyable than much of Seasons 3 and 4. What really hurt the show was the writing. Harley spent the first few seasons building a crew and forming strong relationships, only for many of those characters to be pushed aside or completely forgotten. After everything they went through together, it felt strange that Harley simply moved on without much thought. It made many of those earlier storylines feel meaningless. As the series continued, Harley seemed to create more problems than she solved, and her character development started repeating the same lessons over and over. Instead of feeling like she was growing, it felt like the writers kept resetting her character whenever it was convenient. For me, the issue was never representation or the characters' identities. It was the quality of the storytelling. A good relationship is built through believable writing, and I never felt Harley and Ivy's relationship reached the level it could have. By the later seasons, I actually found Joker and Batman's stories far more entertaining than Harley's. The first two seasons and most of Season 3 are still some of the best DC animation released in years, and I would absolutely recommend watching them. Unfortunately, after that, the writing lost its focus, the characters became less interesting, and many storylines felt repetitive. It feels like the show has run its course, and I think it would be better to give it a proper ending than continue stretching it out.
