Amanda Waller, het hoofd van overheidsinstantie A.R.G.U.S., is niet meer langer in staat om mensenlevens in gevaar te brengen voor haar geheime operaties. Omdat deze beslissing van het Congres van de Verenigde Staten een punt zet achter de Suicide Squad en het team van Peacemaker, moet Waller iets anders verzinnen. Ze besluit wederom een team samen te stellen, maar nu één bestaande uit monsters, waaronder Eric Frankenstein en de radioactieve Doctor Phosphorus. Generaal Rick Flag senior krijgt de taak om de Creature Commandos en hun gevaarlijke missies te leiden.

- Spencer MB8 juni 2025Honestly, kind of a miss. The first 4 episodes are great, but once episode 5 opens, I realized there wasn't enough time to fully explore everything that had been setup. Those last 3 episodes feel so rushed and half-assed, it's really disappointing. It felt like they had a great idea for a mystery but never came up with a conclusion to that mystery that made sense so they just brute-forced their way out. Needed like three more episodes to fully flesh out a kind of nonsensical narrative. Also some pretty cringe dialogue.
- Hipster ZOMBIE28 februari 2025The first new DCU series out the gate is James Gunn’s wacky and ultra violent Creature Commandos. It isn’t horrible but it’s also not very memorable. The series suffers from some narrative inconsistencies and underdeveloped plot threads. The voice cast does a good enough job with the material they have to work with but it isn’t much. The animation varies from ugly to so-so. Overall it’s not a bad series. It’s just a very underwhelming one.
