A drama series about a group of ultra-Orthodox men and women who have lost their faith and have begun leading double lives: devout at home and in public, yet free during secret gatherings in a hidden apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood. Among them, a young man and woman are at the start of this complicated journey. They fall in love; he’s married, she’s on the verge of an arranged marriage and both contemplate leaving their community despite the heavy price they’ll have to pay. As their lives edge toward a collision point, the group’s web of lies grows increasingly complex. They long to hold on to parts of their world, are concerned about God disappearing from their lives, and struggle to reconcile the two.
