- vangh18 december 20252ootopia is very good overall, though in terms of some of the throwaway jokes, plot points, and the story overall there was definitely some high level, more adult stuff in this one. I guess that's not totally out of character for the series, given the nudist club in the first. But having threesome jokes, political murder plots, and patent paperwork conspiracy in a kids movie felt (Nick) wild(e). The theme of legacy hungry land owners growing their power on the backs and disenfranchisement of the industrious impoverished definitely felt poignant. And it was nice to see Nick and Judy being able to identify, work through, and communicate their feelings lucidly, even if the scene itself didn't exactly play believably. I don't think this one will be an eventual re-watch favorite in our household, unlike the first was.
