Doesn't help when the super mid / main love interest is crossed eyed. It was depressing to see Jeffery Donovan ("Bottles").

What really works here is the mechanics. There’s a lot of detail in how things unfold, and it keeps you engaged without feeling like techno-babble overload. It feels grounded enough to be believable, but stylized enough to stay entertaining. You’re watching the spiral happen in real time, and it never pretends it’s anything else. The descent is the story. At the center of it all is a great character hook. A modern-day Robin Hood type, a criminal with a moral code, pulled into something he didn’t want to do. That tension between who he is and what he’s forced into gives the film its backbone. You’re not just watching the moves, you’re feeling the cost behind them. And the ending lands. No cheap outs, no overreach. Just a strong finish that feels earned and completes the game the right way. Smart, tense, and quietly gripping. A slow-burn chess match with real stakes and a lead worth rooting for.

You might catch what the kid says 😒. 4 out of 5✨. New ways to keep us movie lovers entertained. Bravo also to the Key actors/actress.
