The Mist Ratings & Reviews
- DARTH VADER29 december 2025One of the most Underrated and for me the last great Stephen King Movie Adaptation, the Opening 10 Mins of the Film immediately grabs your full attention and gives us great foreshadowing for what's to come. The visual storytelling is very sharp and really well done, the Character developments in it is top tier, not just through our lead but from all of the side Characters as well and Marcia Gay Hardens performance as our main villain and protagonist of the Film imo was Oscar Nominated worthy she was phenomenal in this, you could argue at certain points in it that she steals the show. I absolutely love how Frank Darabont shot and lit this, just all round great cinematography and this Movie is very well paced, it doesn't feel like there's any exposition dump here, every scene in this Movie has purpose and meaning. And Finally what an absolutely powerful, impactful and deeply effective ending that was and it's the type of ending that not only shocks you to your core, but it's a real gut punch of an ending and it just leaves you feeling as devasted as our main Character is and it just stays with you and it's one of those endings as well that, even if you've watched the Movie just once you'll never ever forget its burned into your 🧠 forever. The only issue I have with The Mist is the CGI on the majority of the creatures, it's very dated and that's what stopped me from giving this Movie a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating, but apart from the poor CGI the Movie is perfect.
- Kevin Ward3 juli 2025Black & White Director’s Cut I only heard about the existence of a B&W director’s cut a couple weeks ago, but wow it really elevates this film. The obvious CGI as far less pronounced and it gives the entire film that classic monster movie feel. Really loved experiencing this again. I really wish Andre Braugher’s character had made it a bit farther in the film. I think he made a better foil than Marcia Gay Harden’s prophetic religious nut. Really great monster flick though from top to bottom.
- Michael G25 maart 2025Watched the whole thing, it was well done and kept our interest. Lots of suspense and the acting was not bad. Might watch it again some day.
- andyhicks123 december 2025Film story is good the actual creatures look poor good to 3 The Walking Dead ppl in there
- Resistance00517 december 2025First time watching right after IT Welcome To Derry last episode S01. It's not great but not bad either, its just okay. Storytelling, script could have been so much better. So many moments where 1 thing happens and a scene later they totally forget or ignore what happened before. Its a good movie to let yourself into the world of Stephen King and his imagination although the books are the true adaptations apart from what they are doing with IT now but nonetheless I enjoyed watching it.
- Razorbitz29 november 2025You can tell its a Stephen King movie by the dialogue alone, but my god does this film creep under your skin with how weird it is. It's a certain kind of bleak that I adore and sits in your gut for a long while. My partner hated it! Also fun to see just how many actors got yoinked from this to the Walking Dead, but for me the movie lives and dies by just how capital E Everyman Thomas Jane is; he's a treat and I miss seeing him in roles like this. Not for everyone but a classic all the same.
- Streetter19 oktober 2025Very few movies DESERVE a sequel or a prequel. This one needs it.
- John.Redcorn12 oktober 2025This movie is silly I think. Pretty silly stuff. The plot is kinda silly, the characters are silly. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a good time.
- cubano116 oktober 2025Very different from King's story in a lot of key ways, but much like Frank's other King adaptations it's well executed.
- Lord_Naitsabes8 februari 2025The dialogue is awful, but as a monster movie it hits all the high points. 1st half - 4/10. 2nd Half 9/10
- Stairwaytothestars24 augustus 2025A well-made movie with suspense, creepiness, eeriness, mystery, and a few surprises are lurking in THE MIST!
- swanson12921 mei 2025Dumbest ending ever, makes the guy look like a real wuss. Music is annoying too
- The Gutter Monkey3 februari 2025Part Dawn of the Dead, part Lord of the Flies, it delivers both thrilling survival horror and a thought-provoking study in group dynamics in isolation.
- bandaa314 juli 2025Good movie, entertaining.
- jedorah24 juni 2025Black and white version is king. Frank Darabont's horror masterpiece in my opinion.
