- VooKa2 juni 2025They stayed true to Andy Weir’s book and nailed the adaptation. Matt Damon’s great, the story’s clever. And it might not be 100% realistic, but who cares. If you ask me its a top-notch sci-fi survival film.

Matt Damon does a nice job as "Captain Blond Beard" and I am sure he woukd agree a better pirate then spaceman. The story keeps you engaged and rooting for a mission that will never happen in our lifetime, if it does I'll comeback to this review and apologize to everyone who read it.

Matt Damon made the survival story believable without turning it overly dramatic, and the movie kept me invested by focusing on problem solving, resilience, and hope instead of nonstop action. The science felt realistic enough to pull you into the experience, and Mars itself looked both beautiful and terrifying. A rare sci-fi film that feels inspiring instead of hopeless.
