De kleinste rebel
Directed by David ButlerWhere to Watch De kleinste rebel
- theLillyPad19 januari 2026This movie was one black-face away from being a 5/5. Sadly, it is a product of its time, most especially in its general portrayal of African Americans and the Slave/Owner relationship. Whether you as viewer can stomach that is up to you. The movie does a better job at portraying the complicated relationship between the north and south and the (somewhat) reconciliatory nature it had taken on in the 80 years between then and this film. This is especially interesting by putting it through the eyes of a little girl who does not understand politics but does understand her love for her father. Watch through to the end if you can, and tell me if it doesn't manage to make you cry. Despite all its modern issues, the Littlest Rebel swings for the fences and manages to bring it home.
