The Bravados Ratings & Reviews
- alexnoaholdmate23 februari 2026Shockingly brutal for 1958. Murderers being gunned down in Westerns was nothing new - but a frank discussion of gang rape certainly was, not to mention the implied rape (complete with terrified screams) of another young woman later in the film. Gregory Peck wooden as always - in that lies much of his magnificence, I suspect. Firm, strong, masculine, righteous, sometimes tender, the perfect father figure. In fact, in just a couple of years he will play possibly film's greatest Father, Atticus Finch. Joan Collins darkly beautiful. She can't act, but she looks like a woman I once loved, so I am fond of her.
- Mister Arn21 mei 2025Gregory Peck couldn't carry this movie alone, but he tried. The plot has potential, but the acting is really bad. It's hard to tell if it's the actors or Henry King's direction.
