- stang9488 uur geledenLaugh out loud and freaky
- Seckhardt081310 uur geledenVery intense movie!
- NewFilmsAnonymous12 uur geledenNPC's foaming at the mouth over Raimi's gender-swapped "Misery" on a beach - clearly this poor victimized HR Karen is entitled to quintuple homicide because she was too good for her job... But why read Stephen King's original source novel, when you can just read "Are You With Me?" and praise the real life villains who murder Men for $$$ instead!
- Richie H16 uur geledenWhat. The. Fuck. This movie was unhinged in the best way possible 12/10, definitely recommend
- Spanktacular18 uur geledenExcellent gore and violence, and a fun story that isn't too tropey.
- BobBuster1 dag geledenHad potential, looks like they ran out of ideas near the end.
- Mike Shulman5 februari 2026Sam Raimi is back with Send Help to remind us all why he is the all time MVP of dark disgusting twisted f@cked up horror. This movie was nearly perfect. Rachel McAdams is amazing as the submissive nerdy "so we think" employee and Dylan O'Brien as well as the douchebag CEO who inherited everything from daddy and never worked a day in his life. Inevitably after not promoting her the two are the only survivors of a work related plane crash and wash up on a small island in the middle of the ocean. From here Linda who spends her spare time reading survivalist books and auditioning for... You guessed it Survivor is now in her element. She's now the boss and goes out of her way to demonstrate this to Bradley... Multiple times showing him why he needs her... But she's also got a more sinister motivation... As does he... One thing is clear... Both Linda and Bradley are flawed people. Welcome to a Sam Raimi movie.... We're not getting clear cut good vs evil characters. And as you can guess in true Raimi fashion the last hour gets really f@cked up... We get some trademark Evil Dead throwback action. Ultra violence, bodily fluids, laugh out loud moments and WTF moments. And you won't know what's what until the very end. The amount of satisfaction you get from the ending might depend on how depraved your mind is. That's why for me it's awesome. Send Help 9/10

At its core, the film strands two wildly incompatible co-workers on a remote island, forcing them into a survival scenario where personality clashes become just as dangerous as the environment. Dylan O'Brien plays Bradley Preston as an unapologetic jerk from the jump, while Rachel McAdams leans into Linda Liddle’s quiet, overlooked office persona… at least at first. And that “at first” is doing a lot of work. The film opens with a lineup of exaggerated corporate stereotypes. Frat-boy energy turned cubicle drone, a nepotistic boss, and the classic mousey workaholic no one respects. It’s intentionally on the nose. At times, maybe a little too on the nose. The early moments can feel awkward, even cringeworthy, as the film leans hard into these tropes. But here’s the thing… It’s all part of the setup. If you stick with it, those broad character strokes become the foundation for some genuinely satisfying reveals and shifting dynamics once survival takes over. Linda’s evolution is one of the film’s strongest elements, and watching her capabilities emerge under pressure is where the movie really locks in. Bradley’s abrasive nature fuels that tension, creating a constant push-pull that drives the story forward. Raimi peppers the film with bursts of gore and gross-out humor that feel right at home in his wheelhouse. They never fully take over the film, but they arrive at just the right moments to break the tension and remind you who’s behind the camera. Some of these moments might have viewers looking away, but they serve a purpose and keep the pacing from ever dragging. And to the film’s credit, there really aren’t many slow spots. The tension builds steadily, the stakes escalate naturally, and the story rewards viewers who are paying attention. There are layers here, both in character and theme, that aren’t handed to you outright but are clearly intentional and well constructed. The ending lands. That’s the big one. It feels earned, it fits the journey, and it sticks after the credits roll. Not without its rough edges, especially in its heavy-handed opening, but Send Help ultimately delivers a smart, tense survival story with strong performances, well-earned twists, and a confident directorial voice. Raimi fans will feel right at home, and anyone willing to ride out the early setup will be rewarded.

- Kevin Ward5 maart 2026F😍kin loved this. The opening scenes depicting McAdams in corporate office setting might have triggered the fight or flight response in my wife more than the actual horrors on the deserted island did. So much of it rang really true. McAdams was incredible and gets to show off quite a bit of range here. Dylan O’Brien is excellently douche-y with a creepy laugh that will make you want to gag anytime you hear it. Sure, it’s a re-hash of a lot of elements seen before (particularly in that third act of The Triangle of Sadness), but damn, Sam Raimi inject it with sooo much fun that makes this romp wildly satisfying. Blood, gore, and also one jump scare that literally had the entire packed audience screaming at times. (The jump scare legit scared the sh🤩 out of my wife). A tad predictable but still so much fun. Highly recommend.
- tom_wen19 februari 2026Overall, very enjoyable though the ending seemed a little rushed and cobbled together at the last-minute.
