A director who never made another movie after taking four years to make and release this one. The story was a typical slasher film with a slight bit of giallo influence. It’s a whodunnit with blood, breasts and bad acting. The question is whether it was worth the watch. Shot in 1980 and released in 1984 to a first time director and a cast of presumably local “talent”. I’m not spoiling anything here by saying the title of the movie is spot on when it comes to solving the whodunnit. The blade seems to make people murderous. Maybe it’s the most innocent person among them. Maybe it’s the cop. Maybe it’s the slutty girl. Heck, it could be all of them. You get what you expect with this movie. I expected a cheap, poorly acted and directed slasher movie that I could shut my brain off and enjoy for 70-90 minutes and it did that. It’s not Citizen Kane or Friday The 13th. Hell, it’s not even Sweet Sixteen, but it’s entertaining in its way. Watch it for yourself and decide. It’s not a wasted time, but you can certainly find a better movie to watch…unless you’re like me and enjoy the schlock more than the polished turds the studios pump out these days.
