Luitenant John Boyd wordt tijdens de Mexicaans-Amerikaanse oorlog weggepromoveerd naar een verlaten militaire post in Californië, waar de verdere aanwezige militairen allemaal wel één of meerdere schroeven los hebben zitten.     An odd film with a mixture of sensibilities. There are points where the film may seem horrific only to veer instantaneously into goofy comedy territory. Any wendigo movie is welcome but this one seems to have an identity crisis. Recommended.

    criminally-underrated anti-colonial pro-vegan homoerotic horror masterpiece of a Western the score is top-notch as well, who knew banjo music could sound discordant and experimental?

    Wants to be smart but it is not
The music was kind of insanely out of place, the dialogue was heavy handed
The movie opening with a neitchze quote added a extra layer of cringe also
Most importantly the premise makes no sense

    “It’s lonely being a cannibal; tough making friends.” - Hart Wow a twisted, horror, western, dark comedy with a really great cast. Not really sure how I missed this in the late 90s.
