This economy of story works well for his feature, “Obsession.” The tension builds and bursts at just the right moments. Inde Navarrette is impeccable as Nikki. *Spoilerish*: Some have misjudged this as a “be careful what you wish for” tale. But this reverses victim and offender. It isn’t a warning of the perils of love. It’s a demonstration of the violence that occurs whenever someone circumvents consent.

The wrists monologue was genuinely insane Watching with a full theater was wonderful. Watching with my 34 yo ex-football player buddies while they clutched my arm harder than they did during Paranormal Activity 16 years ago was incredible. I’ve been using that as an anecdote for a decade and now it must be updated Watched at Warren Regal 21 with Mos and Rich Currently Ranked #1/71 in 2026 Ranked

It’s a little predictable and reliant on jump scare sounds at times; but overall, Obsession does a great job building tension, and it introduces some fresh ideas to the horror genre. I definitely recommend giving it a watch.

- Jayster7 dgn geledenGot to watch early access in Dolby! Don’t think I’ve ever seen a romance/horror like this. A good bit of jump scares and thriller, so unpredictable but loved the way it ended. Scary moves are up in 2026!

- Braden11 mei 2026For fans of Smile, Talk to Me and Barbarian, Curry Barker’s Obsession is a genuinely terrifying addition to the latest wave of horror. The recipe here is simple - “the monkey’s paw” - but works so well thanks to a tight screenplay, wonderfully disgusting use of sound and an agonizing (complimentary) performance from Inde Navarrette. One of the best horror features of the year, and I’m excited to see what Barker has in store for us next. Would recommend!

- otoruk4 dgn geledenHow much did Sarah from "Superman & Lois" make from this movie? She played the character way too good! There was so many unsettling moments, that I almost threw the remote. Perfect watch with friends or date-night with a partner.
- Michael Harrison4 dgn geledenLook at me watching another horror film! Basically a scream queen at this point eh? Anyway what an intense and often at times very funny film. Absolutely loved Inde Navarrette as Nikki, she played crazy so convincing 😆 Michael Johnston was very cute as Bear and how awkward he was. Only had my eyes covered at one point in the film. Had me laughing at some of the awkwardness but overall I was excited to see how the film was going wrap the storyline up. Also can we not have the trailers for films be as freaky? I shall not be watching Passengers AT ALL
