- american_shishi6 augustus 2025It's good, but not quite great. Extremely entertaining action scenes and good mindless violence. But it's even lighter on plot and character development than the John wick series which this is very closely related to in almost every way. As long as you are only looking for action, cool fight scenes, and occasional dark humor, this is a great fit. And I even need to call out specifically how much I liked the way this character doesn't act reluctant to "go back to his old ways" a little at first, but the more he indulges, the more happy and alive he feels and I found myself enjoying that dynamic over the opposite where the character regrets and you are supposed to be sad he's getting mixed up in a bad world again. But the lack of even a serious ATTEMPT at plausible plot and purpose beyond "they got on the same bus that night" keeps me from giving this a higher rating. I enjoyed it, I recommend it for good action, but I reserve 4 and 5 stars for films I think are universally good and amazing respectively.
