Michael Ratings & Reviews
- darsan23 april 2026colman domingo was great as joseph jackson, jafaar jackson was perfect as michael jackson, and michael jackson's songs were PEAKK in dolby atmos.
- Non1 dag geledenIt's more of a film of micheal jackson as an icon than him in reality. I feel like, for the fans who watched this for that side, they might not enjoy it as much, even for me, a casual, I can see they're doing the typical biopic idol version of the human. However, as a film in the task it's taking and how I was going into it as a fun, visual marvel, iconic moments of its own, and recreations, and this era of Michael's career into a narrative, wished the theater I saw in had a more enthusiastic audience to get the experience on being at his concert, but that's simply determined by a roll of odds

- DJMOK1 dag geledeni liked it but i could of been allot better. i think the final cut wasnt the full film i believe theres allot that was filmed and wasnt shown in a 2hr film. allot of what i would of loved to have seen was skipped like his teen years. and the final shot was a major let down. not sure why they didnt just clearly say it was a going to be done in two or three parts when the ending just left you wanting more. its obvious the director knew theres more to be told. i think they should of got the director of the QUEEN film or the director of the elvis movie should of made it. but i liked it its worth watching.
- fpmo342 dgn geledenEnded kinda weird, in the Bad era. Otherwise good watch for an 80s kid
- moodp028 april 2026It's like being there in the stadium front row live in the last 15 minutes.
- BLIKBOI JOHNSON2 dgn geledenTo be fair it's a decent film but that is exactly what it is a film a version of truth "they" want you believe and nothing more with a sh*t ton omitted from the actual events I didn't expect much when going into this because well come on hellywood and the entertainment industry (especially mowtown records in this instance) aren't going to expose themselves as the satanic cult that they literally are although no other will reach his level of fame and he is still with us artists like Michael are worth more de8d to the industry than alive and films like this prove that other than money what do the industry and his family stand to gain from this film

My grandpa said that he gives this movie a b- and that it didn't have alot of Michael Jackson songs in it. Also he said that they showed too much of Michael Jackson's dad in the movie . My grandma says that Michael Jackson's Nephew didn't really look like him and anyone could of danced or played Michael Jackson other than his nephew . I give a A- I really enjoyed the film even though there where somethings I thought where missing from the film . When the young Michael got upset or when he was older who got upset I wanted to give him a hug . Jaafar didn't look exactly like his uncle but he did a nice job dancing and taking like him. When I first heard him talk I was shocked that he sounded alot like Michael. When Michael Jackson was sitting in the chair wanting his nose to be operated on I wanted to jump into the film and say no don't do it your nose is perfect the way it is, it's not too big , it frames your face nicely " even though it was not the real Michael Jackson on screen. It was really weird that Janet Jackson wasn't in the film no wonder she stormed out and disliked the film. I hope this movie is not a cash grab and that it is a real tribute to Michael Jackson's life legacy. I do hope there is more to this movie after watching the movie I wanted to watch more .
- joshuacottle3024 april 2026I really enjoyed this movie. The casting was perfect for Michael and the rest of the Jackson’s. The music was great. Only flaw is it did kinda feel like one giant music video, which I hope for the 2nd one it will explore more beyond the music and the consequences of being so famous. Overall, still an outstanding movie about the king of pop.
- cbh4k27 april 2026It was so beautiful like I can’t even explain it but jafaar did a good job at being he’s uncle and I’m hoping jafaar gets the Oscar

- ርልዪረ26 april 2026♛ℳ𝒥♛ Don't just watch it. Feel it. This film goes beyond simply telling the story of Michael Jackson. It pulls back the curtain and lets you experience something deeper, something more personal. It gives you a sense of his spirit, his sensitivity, and the emotional world that lived behind the global icon. What stayed with me the most is Jaafar Jackson's performance. Yes, he delivers on the movement, the rhythm, the precision, all the elements people expect. But what truly elevates his work is the emotional and spiritual connection he brings. This is not just imitation. It feels internal. The quiet moments, the stillness, the way he carries himself, all of it translates into something powerful. You're not just watching a performance, you're feeling a presence. His connection with the cast adds even more depth. Nia Long brings warmth and grounding as Katherine, showing the love and care that shaped Michael's inner world. Their dynamic feels genuine and full of heart. And then there is Colman Domingo, who delivers one of the most layered portrayals in the film. Joseph is not reduced to a single note. You see the discipline, the harshness, but also glimpses of complexity and humanity. The film allows space to understand where he comes from, without ignoring the impact he had. That balance is important, and it's handled with care. I also appreciated how the film highlights the father figures who entered Michael's life. You can feel the influence of Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones, and Bill Bray, each representing guidance, protection, and a sense of stability that Michael was searching for. It adds another emotional layer to his journey. The smaller details are just as meaningful. The portrayal of Vitiligo is handled with care and subtlety, appearing across different moments in a way that feels natural and honest. It's not just mentioned, it's integrated into his lived reality. The film also doesn't forget Michael's humanitarian side. The hospital visits, his connection with children, those moments are deeply emotional and remind you of the compassion that defined him just as much as his artistry. The Pepsi commercial accident 1984 sequence stands out as well. It's recreated with intensity and respect, capturing both the shock of the moment and its lasting impact. And the younger version of Michael, portrayed by Juliano Krue Valdi, brings a touching vulnerability. You feel the pressure, the loneliness, and the longing of a child trying to find his place in a demanding world. Of course, as fans, we always want more. There are figures like Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor whose presence in his life was significant, and it would have been interesting to see them explored. But at the same time, this is not about including everything. It's about the story this film chooses to tell. And for me, it works. Because at a certain point, you stop thinking about what could have been added. You let go of expectations and just experience what's there. This is someone else's vision, and it stands on its own. What we get is a powerful beginning. A glimpse into the making of a legend. A film that doesn't try to say everything, but instead invites you to feel something real. And I did.
- ahwoo5 dgn geledenA decent if 'whitewashed' account of the Star's climb. It stops before the 'messy bits' but overall, a nice watch through memory lane.
- MrMitchie5 dgn geledenFinally a Hollywood level attempt of the story of Michael Jackson that does it justice and not cheaply made. If you liked bohemian rhapsody then you will like this movie since it is by the same people who made it. I can't wait for the second part. Highly recommended.
