High school basketball in early 1950's Indiana may be the background story, but it's human drama that takes center court. Exceptional character development and acting. Gene Hackman is at the top of his game and "Hoosiers" is a watch-list slam dunk.

Norman Dale (Gene Hackman) is een basketbal coach die door zijn verleden gedwongen wordt om het slechtste middelbare school team van de provincie te coachen voor de Indiana State championship.
