This was a pretty fun queer slasher. Maniac in a devil mask beheads gay men with a sickle and collects their heads for…..I’m not sure what, actually. That’s one of my only gripes with this film. I’m not all that clear on why he was killing either. Was he homophobic? Some scenes suggest the killer was homosexual himself. But we never get a real killer reveal. He’s just ‘devil mask guy.’ This does feature some solid sickle slashing though and some super campy moments. I like how the cops are too busy with a carnival so they assign the dual homicide/dual beheading to a wannabe cop. This also features a character with the name Chaz. I definitely had fun with this. Just wish we got more insight into the killer.
