Directed by Matthew BrightNadat haar moeder en stiefvader gearresteerd zijn besluit de 15-jarige Vanessa Lutz op zoek te gaan naar haar grootmoeder die ze nooit ontmoet heeft. Onderweg krijgt ze autopech, en wordt ze opgepikt door Bob Wolverton, die werkt op een school voor jongens met problemen. Langzaam wint Bob Vanessa's vertrouwen, en begint ze te vertellen over het seksuele misbruik door haar stiefvader. Dan realiseert Vanessa zich echter dat Bob een beruchte snelwegmoordenaar is.

- Gianni Cavuoto20 december 2025Yes this is a crazy movie. It's got a crazy plot, a crazy antagonist and a crazy protagonist. It really goes over the top in the 3rd act of the movie and is a not miss movie for sure. I'm not sure if this movie has a boatload of rewatch ability but you won't stop thinking about it for a while. You will recomend it to friends just to see their face after they said they watched it. Great conversation piece for sure. Don't forget to watch the follow up to this movie aptly named Freeway II.

- Aaron Slade3 juli 2025I thought this movie was pretty good when it came out. I rented it on VHS a lot and it was a fun watch. BUT.. now Im older and wiser, I realise Freeway is a bit doggy doo doo. I guess if you can go into it knowing its crap, it can still be a fun watch.
