Naar het gelijknamige kinderboek van Roald Dahl. Mr. Fox en Mrs. Fox leiden een idyllisch ondergronds leventje. Twaalf "vossejaren" na de geboorte van hun zoontje Ash komen echter de instincten van Mr. Fox bovendrijven, iets wat het bestaan van hun hele dierengemeenschap in gevaar brengt. Om aan voedsel te komen berooft Mr. Fox namelijk de boerderijen van drie verschillende boeren, terwijl hij aan Mrs. Fox beloofd had dit niet meer te doen.

    My daughter's seen it at the age of four and I feel she could watch it every four years for the rest of her life and see something new each time. Basically flawless in every way, genuinely fantastic. Highly recommended.

    As a fan of Roald Dahl and Quentin Black books and illustrations, it is an absolute pleasure to see these adaptations by the wonderful Wes Anderson. It is a cozy, childish yet very deep movie. You absolutely need to see this.

    “there's a lot of attitudes going on around here... don't let me get one.“ autumnal vibes are immaculate. i love protagonists that are scoundrels. funnily enough, the conflict between humanity and nature that centers around the encroachment of human dwellings upon the natural world, forcing wild animals to adapt to urbanization and unconventional habitation bears a striking resemblance to the narrative of pom poko. very interesting how culture influences the art, as this definitely feels like a more lighthearted and whimsical take on the loss of nature in comparison to pom poko’s bittersweet conclusion. i gotta put my best friends that love cricket onto whack-bat they’d eat that shit up.

    This is one of the most charming movies I’ve ever watched. Love the performances from George Clooney and Meryl Streep, The score is so charmingly playful, the animation is so smooth and wonderful to look at and it’s just overall…. FANTASTIC Mr Fox 2009 😂
