eXistenZ Ratings & Reviews
- The Gutter Monkey23 maart 2025It's like the Garbage Pail Kids version of Westworld.
- Daniel Gustavsson12 oktober 2024I will admit that I was torn here if I wanted to give this a 4 or a 5. The movie is absolutely not perfect, and some of the editing is very confusing. The acting can be... weird for lack of a better word. But I went with a 5 in the end because for some reason this movie really stuck with me. The themes are so great. The risks it takes. Some of the weird stuff (the gun for example). The ending. They are all so brilliant. It's a bit cheesy at times but that just makes the whole thing more geeky (and hence fitting for this). I also think the movie brings a lot of food for thoughts, especially after that ending. I love this movie.
- Thomas Kearney20 januari 2026Just can't come , you have to watch it to know what it feels like
- NewFilmsAnonymous18 augustus 2025Bioweapons, experimental vaginas, parallax multiverses, homicidal developers...and still better than the gaming industry today!
- flavo433 januari 2026eXistenZ is a mind‑bending slice of sci‑fi that showcases David Cronenberg’s fascination with the blurred boundaries between technology and flesh. Starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jude Law, the film dives into the world of virtual‑reality gaming—but instead of glossy CGI, it embraces tactile, unsettling practical effects that make its bio‑tech creations feel disturbingly real. The story is deliberately disorienting, filled with twists, loops, and shifting layers of reality that keep you questioning what’s genuine and what’s part of the game. Its unconventional ending only deepens that sense of uncertainty, leaving viewers with the lingering unease Cronenberg is famous for. While this is one of his more restrained works—less extreme than his body‑horror landmarks—it’s still a compelling entry in his filmography. eXistenZ remains a clever, provocative thriller that challenges perception and rewards viewers who enjoy narratives that twist themselves inside out.
- Don the Darth Knight CORLEONE19 juli 2025A Movie that could melt your brain because it's a real mind twister.
- Jonathan Huighe8 januari 2026It was good but the ending twist was very unseen, after seeing tons of memes of the movie and finally watching it, I like it
- frankpanduh6 december 2025The holes are gross if you have that one phobia. But the director is known for making body horror!
- elven75326 oktober 2025I enjoyed the twists and turns throughout
- Tyler Stefansen18 oktober 2025Good I think very weird in a good way disgusting and unsettling on purpose
