- Kevin Ward3 juli 2025Been getting kind of hyped for the new Evil Dead Rise and figured I better catch up on this one which has been on my watchlist for a while. Man this movie rips! It has some really excellent cinematic imagery, gruesome kills and fantastic looking effects. Only things keeping it from an even higher score is that it sometimes falls into the horror trap of characters making really dumb choices. Most of that can be forgiven, though, given how much fun this was. Bring on Rise…
- Ron6 mei 2026this is top-tier horror. the performances are excellent across the board. rewatching it reminded me why i thought the first time that i’d never sit through it again cuz the gore is relentless and somehow keeps finding ways to shock you when you least expect it. jane levy is especially fantastic she’s just incredibly good in horror. the rest of the cast is great too delivering superb acting. i still remember watching it with my whole family, and despite how intense it was, we had an amazing time with it.
- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"13 april 2026One of the most best and most underrated horror remakes ever!!!! And what I loved about this Evil Dead remakes was the whole story & reason why there at this cabin in the middle of the woods it added more depth to it on a more thematic level...and it also tied in and made sense why it was hard for them to leave because of the struggles that one of the characters is going through and why they are all there in the first place...this entry in the franchisejust had a lot more ofca deeper meaning to it and had that sense of high stakes to it as well. I also loved the gorgeous cinematography, the set design of the cabin, I loved the lighting and a lot of the shots....the acting from all the actors were great & felt grounded and the gore was quite gnarly. I thought Mia's whole character arc was very powerful & very well done...which wad basically what this film was basing itself on...and thankfully it worked and as a result really elevates the whole film.
