- eif99924 januari 2025Generally hated by spaghetti fans I found myself enjoying this. Strong cast with Hill and Spenser playing it seriously. Woody Strode the legend doesn’t disappoint and Lionel Stander is always fun. There’s some gay relationships hinted like Strode and the younger trapeze guy, and more outrageous pairing of Spenser with Baby doll -a red headed George Eastman! Plot is hard to follow and slow. It works for me as just a hangout western. I will never understand how circus movies were a thing but at least this one doesn’t annoy.

Een circus doet het kleine mijnwerkersstadje Liberty Ville aan. Op dat ogenblik breekt er een schietpartij uit tussen Cat Stevens en de mannen van de landsheer en stadsbaas Honey Fisher. Fisher wil namelijk alle claims opeisen van de grond in de buurt en doet dit door de goudzoekers te terroriseren en desnoods te vermoorden. Daar Stevens door een schot zwaar gewond raakt, blijkt het circus een prima schuilplaats te zijn.
