Regisseur Antonioni schetst een beeld van swinging Londen in de jaren '60 en doet dat met het verhaal van de fotograaf David Hemmings. Die maakt kiekjes van twee verliefde mensen in het park.

Loved the 60s fashion and his flat. Probably should have made a phone call earlier. What’s with the mimes? Needs more detective vibes.

It's a film that's almost impossible to sum up with a pithy review. It's distracted and focused. It's grounded and dreamlike. It's stuffed with meaning but lacks resolve. It creeps over you and leaves you bewildered. Highly recommended.

"Blow-Up" focuses on a photographer and employs strong visual storytelling. This cinematic approach results in deliberate pacing, compelling the audience to observe every detail. The film then cleverly uses these details to confuse and mislead the viewer. This approach takes a lot of work by the viewer and may not be for everyone.

Magnificent review of swinging London film par excellence!

As inscrutable as it is intriguing. In the early going I thought it was going to be one of those movies where nothing really happens. And then something really happens! But does it really amount to all that much? Maybe! The filmmaker didn't really tell me. So I guess it's up to me to decide. Much like the troupe of mimes who expect a complete stranger to toss back their imaginary tennis ball, I guess. I love how much the cinematographer loves frame-within-a-frame imagery. It's pushed to it's aesthetic limits in this one.
