Alien Ratings & Reviews
- Desmond Dale24 januari 2025Just the perfect horror and possibly my favorite Sci-Fi film ever. The pacing is masterful. Ridley stretches out each kill to its furthest point of tension. The biomechanical designs by Geiger are impossibly detailed and intricate. And it's just a film that has a slightly slow start but never steps crescendoing until it's very last minute.
- The Gutter Monkey23 februari 2025We get Sigourney Weaver running around with a flameflower in the world's tiniest pair of panties. Need I say more?
- Humpty20 februari 2025DON'T LAY YOUR BABIES IN ME!
- Eric Bakke5 november 2024It’s a relentless, claustrophobic horror that mixes science fiction with pure terror. Once it gets cooking, almost every frame is soaked in tension.
- Cubane5 dgn geledenEven for non horror fans, this is an easy sell. The practical effects have aged beautifully, and none of the sequels can match the atmosphere this movie manages to create.
- mickerdoo12 november 2025Incredibly made in '79. The sets are incredible. Great camera work and editing. Some effects haven't aged as well. Inventive monster.
- Mazz26 mei 2025One of the perfect movies of all time
- Carson Cardoza8 september 2025This movie rocked but I really wish there were more than 1 alien in it.
- KRRool2 januari 2026Very impressive for its time and a must watch for any film enthusiast
- Zoran Miljković17 november 2025This film has created a new subgenre. There are endless copies of this film. This is a true masterpiece.

- witty youngman15 september 2025The things they come up with. The 70s! I mean, a cat survived, and I know there are more Alien movies. I liked it, will be watching more.
- Jakeys24 december 2025Horror usually doesn't interest me but this is an easy exception. An iconic and groundbreaking sci fi classic.
- Callum19 december 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Alien — The Silence That Still Screams Alien isn’t just a great film — it’s a genre-defining one. This is the movie that reshaped sci-fi horror, proving that you didn’t need constant action or spectacle to terrify an audience. Instead, it weaponised atmosphere, silence, and inevitability. Even decades later, its influence is impossible to miss. This was the film that made Sigourney Weaver a star, and Ripley remains one of the most naturally written heroes in science fiction. She doesn’t begin as a chosen one or an obvious leader; she earns that position through intelligence, caution, and survival instinct. Watching her grow into that role feels organic, not forced — something many modern films still struggle to replicate. The chestburster scene is burned into cinematic history. Even if you know it’s coming, there’s something about the way it unfolds that still makes you lean forward. It’s shocking without being gratuitous, unforgettable without being flashy — and definitely not for the squeamish. Once you’ve seen it, you never truly forget it. Yes, the film shows its age in places, but that almost works in its favour. The practical effects, the tactile sets, the physicality of the creature — all of it feels real. There’s no glossy CGI here, just hands-on craftsmanship that gives the alien a weight and presence many digital monsters lack. Even the cat, Jonesy, adds to the tension in subtle but memorable ways. Alien is a classic because it understands restraint. It knows when not to show the monster, when to let the ship breathe, and when to let fear creep in on its own. That discipline is what keeps it timeless. 🥃 Pairing: A neat whisky in a dim room — quiet, unsettling, and something you sit with long after it’s finished.
