- Rowan Krzysiak12 februari 2025Disney has much to apologise for but out of its renaissance period, this movie (along with Beauty and the Beast) is not one of them. It's a snappily paced romp with strong characters and fairly good songs. Of significance though is the experimental CGI and the Fantasia levels of freedom seen with the Genie that portray a passion and respect for the project that is sorely missing from the live-action remake.

Menken's soundtrack is quality without exception, and Robin Williams' performance as Genie (particularly for his songs) is inimitable. Good story, good moral, good music, good animation, good movie.
