- Zokkiie23 december 2025Such a blast! Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy make a great team—Nolte's the no-nonsense cop, and Murphy's the smart-mouthed convict, and their back-and-forth is awesome. The plot’s simple, but the chemistry between the two really makes it fun to watch. The action’s solid, though it does slow down a bit here and there. Overall, it’s a great mix of humor and action from the '80s. Definitely worth checking out if you like buddy cop movies

There’s very little love lost between the two of them. And remember, if you’re watching this movie for the first time. No judging it by modern standards. Just enjoy it

Keiharde politieagent Jack Cates is de enige overlevende van een schietpartij. Cates krijgt 48 uur om de moordenaar te vinden en heeft daarvoor de hulp nodig van de gangster Reggie Hammond, die hij voor die korte tijd uit de gevangenis haalt. Maar Reggie is totaal niet gemotiveerd om te helpen en de crimineel-helpt-agent en de blank/zwart situatie zorgt voor de nodige botsingen tussen de twee. Ondanks dat alles blijken het toch goede partners te zijn.
