An unusual act of friendship brings the burnt-out artist Hans Rückert together with the pedantic early retiree Joachim Schiller. The old rivals should pull together to help their "ex" Isolde. After years of radio silence, she asks the two gentlemen to temporarily run their dance school in order to be able to recover from a broken leg. What Hans and Joachim initially do not suspect: the clever Isolde plays them off against each other and tells both what they want to hear. Because everyone gets started in their own way, it initially rumbles violently at the dual leadership. But the two soon realize that things get better together and that their different characters actually complement each other perfectly. Joachim is a far-sighted manager and a good ballroom dancer, the spontaneous Hans can win people over. In this way they even manage to compensate for the failure of the rousing dance teacher Martha. Luckily, she passed her talent on to her son Carlo. Right away, he not only stirs up the senior group with his hip-hop moves, but also inspires the newly recruited school classes. With the trio, a new groove comes into the dance school. But not everyone likes the success. The first tests for the dream team are not long in coming.
