Zathura: A Space Adventure Ratings & Reviews
- The DLordMarch 27, 2025A fun movie to put on every few years
- leeartleeFebruary 27, 2025A solid children’s movie. Great special effects. Might not be perfect but for a movie aimed at kids, it’s incredible.
- Julie JonesFebruary 11, 2026The film is fully packed with adventure, suspense, great cinematography, awesome acting! This is basically Jumanji in space, but a tale of two brothers style. Good watch, will likely watch again, and can recommend! FINALLY! I HAVE FOUND MY CHILDHOOD FAVORITE MOVIE!
- Ty LeetDecember 28, 2025Probably Kristen Stewart’s best performance
- نور رمزيOctober 30, 2025I have a great memories with this movie in my childhood I watched it in the past on cartoon network and know I'm motivated to watch it again
- ShaydeknightOctober 25, 2025Is Zathura a Jumanji clone? A sequel? Or Jon Favreau’s love letter to a film he admired? Hard to say. But whatever it is, I liked it. Dax Shepard’s performance is quietly riveting, he brings real warmth and depth to a role that could easily have been forgettable. The two kids, Josh Hutcherson and Jonah Bobo, both deliver impressively grounded performances, and even the famously hyper-expressive (that was irony) Kristen Stewart does a solid job as the bossy older sister. There are a few plot holes here and there (I still don’t know how many turns Lisa was supposed to be in cryosleep) but nothing serious enough to derail the fun. Favreau guides his young cast with confidence, balancing genuine tension with humor and wonder. The result is an inventive, fast-paced adventure that keeps both kids and adults engaged. It’s tempting to compare Zathura to Jumanji, but I think that’s a disservice. This isn’t a lesser copy, it’s a story with a different tone, a different rhythm, and a different kind of heart. Different game, different people, different idiom, different energy. It's a good ride and fun for the whole family!
- stuhannafordOctober 14, 2025There’s a few black hole sized plot issues, but it’s a good, solid, family fun movie. Not quite the heart and warmth of Jumanji, and the story is on a fairly obvious trajectory, but it’s entertaining enough to keep you watching, even though it does start to lose its way a little at the midpoint.
