Its insane to me that this is the first major motion picture about George Washington. Insane. The history is so fascinating and has so many crazy events that are almost hard to believe actually happened in this time period. Great cast. Loved Kelsey Grammer and Andy Serkis. Serkis was a standout to me. One of the better non-CGI roles I have seen him in. Right up there with Andor for me. Franklin William Miller is shockingly good for it being his first movie. Action was great and felt big scale budget, but I am pretty sure it wasn't a massive budget. I found the changes that they made to history fine. Don't love it being changed, but then when I think "how would you do this in a movie with out making it 4 hours and boring" I really have to give credit to the screen writers. It was tight and really fun. Overall, really strong film with good pace, fun cast and a fascinating part of US history most people don't know much about.

Young Washington isn’t revisionist or edgy—it's a portrait of a young man being shaped by war, great responsibility, and carrying the weight of future greatness.

More evangelical nonsense for insecure fake Christians. Woefully inaccurate, boring, and poorly made. Only a complete red hat mush brain could sit through this dreck Btw, Washington despised people like the ones who made this film.

Loved this movie enough to watch it again. I love historical pieces even when they embellish it. Very well acted, costume and design, location views, and in this day and age how boring Mr Washington may have been back in the day, they really brought him to life….

Young Washington turned out to be a good watch with solid acting all around. True to its title, the story focuses specifically on George Washington's early years and has nothing to do with the later American Revolutionary period. Instead, it portrays him participating and commanding as a British officer during the French and Indian conflict. It manages to keep you engaged while dropping some neat historical facts. The action set pieces are top-notch, and man, that climax where bullets graze right through his uniform and he just keeps fighting without any fear is so fun to watch. If you're into historical war dramas, you'll enjoy this for sure.

I liked it. I appreciate movies about our nation's history! It was a family-friendly movie that didn't go too deep but that's fine!

Great movie that talks Washington’s early life that isn’t talked about much

Rarely is there a movie this good these days. They definitely took some liberties, especially with the accuracy of the muskets. It seems like every shot was accurate, but other than that an awesome movie.
