Po nesmyslném pokusu o atentát na prezidenta Spojených států, který údajně spáchal neznámý mutant, se veřejnost dovolává zákona, který má mutanty dostat pod kontrolu. V čele anti-mutantniho hnuti stojí armádní velitel a vědec William Stryker, o němž se tvrdí, že na mutantech prováděl pokusy. Mutanty nenávidí a hodlá je totálně zlikvidovat. Když zjistí, že jeho vlastní syn je mutant, bez milosti ho zabije. Stryker měl v minulosti co do činění také s Wolverinem a zná tajemství jeho minulosti. Když Wolverine pátrá po svém původu, uvede Stryker do pohybu svůj anti-mutantní program. Jsou však i mutanti, kteří se proti lidské civilizaci postavili. Jeden z nich, Magento, který právě unikl z vězení, navrhne X-Menům spojenectví proti společnému nepříteli...

- M08Y16. ledna 2026A little less campy than X1, but just as good. I have a bit of a soft spot for this movie. While it probably only deserves 3.5 stars, I like it, so it's having 4. X2 feels very different to the first movie. I don't know if it's because this film has been around most of my life, but I feel like this film feels incredibly comfortable in the world built in X1. The universe feels so well established that you forget that there are so many unanswered questions around the logistics of mutants. It was a really nice change to see the mutants fighting a human and genuinely having trouble with him. Brian Cox's William Stryker was a neat little villain... even if the script left him feeling a little sterile at times. Rogue continues to be somewhat annoying here, but compared to some later marvel movies, she's absolutely fine. The whole cast seem to be having a great time making X2 and you can really tell. I can't wait to see how the next movie turns out (It's really bad). The audio and visuals are solid. The special effects are from 2003 and you can tell but I won't hold it against them.

The costumes are still lame but the characters are pretty decent. The actors for Magneto,professor X, Wolverine are really good. Nightcrawler wasn't bad after the first scene as he's very religious so that's comic accurate.

- Amir Animashaun8. srpna 2025I went in with a high standard since I hear people say this movie is one of the most underrated superhero movies but I disagree. The action, visuals, hair and make up design is amazing but the music and flashy lights are jarring. Iceman, Rogue and Pyro have no purpose whatsoever just to set up the third movie. Lady Deathstrike vs. Wolverine although short it was pretty cool and seeing Jean’s early descent into The Phoenix was interesting. Cyclops sucks so hard bro was barely in the movie. But hey Nightcrawler was pretty cool. I could go on forever but eh cba.
