Beyond just showing how much they mean to each other, the film is also a nice educational opportunity for those who might have always harbored questions about some aspect of coming out as transgender.

Farrell does a great job giving those of us who may be a little clueless into the transgender experience some insight - asking some hilarious and often thoughtful questions. Heartwarming and unique.

Along the way they take the opportunity to examine their own friendship—how it’s changed, how it hasn’t and what it means for the both of them moving forward. Some of the setups are obviously contrived but it never robs the experience of its sentimentality. It’s moving to see Will advocate for his friend yet also recognize that his celebrity can function as a coat of armor that can shield Harper from potentially dangerous situations, but may also insulate Will from ever really experiencing Harper vantage point. Worth checking out.
