- Richard5. října 2025This one hit me harder than I expected. It’s quiet, slow, and almost gentle at first, but that’s exactly what makes it so devastating. You start off watching this sweet, elderly couple, Jim and Hilda,going about their day, bickering lovingly, making tea, reading government leaflets like they’re gospel. They’ve lived through one war already and they think they understand what’s coming. But they don’t and that gap between what they believe and what’s actually happening is where the heartbreak lives. It’s not a film I’d rewatch often, but I’m glad I saw it. It’s one of those rare ones that stays with you, not because of what it shows, but because of what it doesn’t.
