In 1692, mass hysteria gripped the small settlement of Salem, Massachusetts. A wave of fear took hold when young girls, including the daughter and niece of Reverend Samuel Parris, began to suffer from unexplained fits. Lacking medical answers, the community blamed witchcraft. A trial began, and suspicion spread quickly. Neighbours accused each other. Fear overtook reason. The documentary explores how religious beliefs, rigid social norms, and fear of the Devil fueled the chaos.
