- Kevin Ward2025年7月2日Veni Vidi Vici was a pretty fun one to kick off the fest with. Not knowing at all what it was about, the opening was kind of shocking. A cyclist is taken out by a sniper rifle, but the film actually puts billionaires that rob, cheat, steal, and kill with impunity in its crosshairs. There’s scarce little nuance to be found as the Amon Maynard family is presented as objectively evil. There’s not much that hasn’t been said before except perhaps that there’s a clear stance that the vile behavior is intentionally passed down from generation to generation. It’s shallow but still fun.
